| Antique high chairs are easy to find unless you happen to be looking for a specific one. But the nice thing about an antique is that you have an instant family heirloom. With a little care it will last through many generations.
There are however a few things you should be careful off. Most antique high chairs don't have the many safety restraints available on today's chairs. This doesn't have to be a problem if you go out and buy a safety device that will easily attach.
Most also don't come with padded seats. Again, there are plenty of pads made specifically for high chairs.
Of course you'll be missing out on many of the modern conveniences such as dishwasher safe trays, wheels that lock and other. But you be gaining a beautiful piece of furniture. One you won't want to put away even after your baby outgrows it.
